District-wise Rural and Urban SC/ST Population Distribution


The 2011 Census shows the SC and ST population in Kerala’s districts. Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, and Thrissur have the highest SC population. These people live in both rural and urban areas. Wayanad, Idukki, and Kasaragod have the highest ST population. Most of them live in rural areas. Wayanad has the largest ST population in the state. In general, SC people are found in both cities and villages, while most ST people live in villages.
