A total of 3.03 lakh houses were identified under the LIFE Mission (SC). Of these, 1.10 lakh houses are already completed, 31,877 houses are still under construction. Palakkad ranks highest in both identified houses and ongoing works, whereas Wayanad records the lowest identification numbers. In completions, Malappuram and Palakkad lead, while Kasargod and Wayanad remain on the lower end
Out of 6,578 Unnathies across Kerala, 6,523 have been electrified, achieving an overall electrification rate of 99.16%. Most districts, including Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, and Kasaragod, achieved 100% coverage, while only a few like Ernakulam (85%) and Idukki (90.68%) lag slightly behind. This reflects near-universal electrification among tribal settlements in the state.
Kerala’s Worker Population Ratio (WPR) has steadily increased from 2017-18 to 2023-24, with overall WPR rising from 46.8% to 56.5% for ages 15–59. Male WPR grew slightly from 73.4% to 76.1%, while female WPR showed a remarkable increase from 24% to 39.6%, narrowing the gender gap. Across all ages, WPR reached 42.1%, indicating improving employment and workforce participation in the state.
Earnings from Tourism in Kerala (2014–2023) Foreign exchange earnings peaked in 2019 (₹10,271.06 crore) before falling sharply in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. Domestic tourist earnings show a steady rise, reaching ₹28,717.46 crore in 2023, the highest in the decade. In 2021, foreign exchange earnings hit the lowest (₹461.5 crore), while domestic earnings recovered better at ₹9,103.93 crore. Post-pandemic recovery is evident from 2022 onwards, especially in domestic tourism earnings.
