B.Sc. Degree Enrolment in Colleges, Kerala (2023–24)

  • Total B.Sc. enrolment declined slightly across years: 39,925 in the first year, 38,259 in the second year, and 36,376 in the final year.

  • Girls formed the majority, making up around two-thirds of total enrolment: 27,081 (68%) in the first year, 25,601 (67%) in the second year, and 24,532 (67%) in the final year.

  • Core science subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology) dominate enrolment, accounting for more than 70% of the total students.

  • Specialized and emerging fields such as Biotechnology, Computer Science, Psychology, and Food Technology also show strong participation, with a steady female majority.
