Dental College Seats


The data shows the number of BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) seats available in Kerala. There are 6 government dental colleges in the state, with a total of 300 seats. The Government Dental College in Kannur has the highest number of seats (60), while others have 40 or 50 seats each.

There are 25 private dental colleges in Kerala. Most of them have 100 seats each. In total, private colleges offer 2,160 BDS seats.

Altogether, Kerala has 2,460 BDS seats every year. Out of these, only about 13% are in government colleges, and the rest are in private colleges. This shows that most dental education in Kerala is provided by private institutions.
