Performance State PSUs under Industries Department


Kerala’s state PSUs under the Industries Department have shown persistent losses despite rising turnover and employment. Profit-making units peaked at 15 in 2022–23 but profits declined, while loss-making units increased to 40 by 2024–25 (up to August). Net losses widened from –₹137.43 crore in 2019–20 to –₹405.54 crore in 2023–24, easing slightly to –₹215.62 crore in 2024–25, highlighting structural inefficiencies despite high revenue and job generation.
