MR2 Vaccine Coverage in 2023-24


The MR2 vaccine coverage data for 2023–24 shows that Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha districts achieved the highest coverage at 99%. Malappuram recorded the lowest coverage at just 67%, indicating a significant shortfall. Nine districts, including Kottayam, Ernakulam, and Wayanad, achieved 95% or higher coverage, reflecting strong immunization performance. In contrast, Kozhikode (84%), Kannur (90%), Kasaragod (92%), and Malappuram (67%) reported coverage below the ideal threshold, requiring focused intervention. Overall, while the state shows commendable MR2 vaccine coverage, districts with low performance need urgent attention to bridge the immunization gap.
