In 2023-24, Kerala PSUs under the Industries Department had a turnover of ₹4452.8 crore with a net loss of ₹405.6 crore. In April–August 2024, turnover dropped to ₹1487.3 crore and losses continued at ₹215.6 crore. Chemicals and electronics contributed most revenue, but losses in cement, cashew, textiles, coir and traditional industries pulled down performance. Only a few units like KMML, Keltron subsidiaries, and Kerala State Coir Corporation showed positive results. Overall, PSUs remain largely loss-making with declining turnover.
