New cases registered in RCC - Speciality Clinicwise (2021-24)


New cases registered in the Regional Cancer Centre over the last three years, by specialty clinic

• The Chest and Gastrointestinal clinic reported the highest number of new cases, with 3,574 cases in 2023-24.
• The Gynaecology, Genitourinary, and Other clinics showed steady growth, with 2,797 cases in 2023-24.
• The Breast and Central Nervous System and Head and Neck clinics maintained moderately high case numbers, with around 2,545 (Breast & CNS) and 2,273 (Head & Neck) cases in 2023-24.
• The Haematological, Lymphoreticular, Bone, and Soft Tissue Sarcoma clinic recorded slightly fewer cases compared to 2022-23, with 2,247 cases in 2023-24.
• Thyroid cases remained stable at 1,205 in 2023-24, following growth in previous years.
• The Pediatric clinic had the lowest number of new cases, with 490 registrations in 2023-24.
• Overall, a total of 15,131 new cases were registered at RCC in 2023-24, slightly lower than 15,324 in 2022-23.
