Branch-wise Distribution of Seats in Engineering Colleges-2024-25


In 2024-25, Kerala’s engineering colleges have a total sanctioned intake of 50,490 seats, with Computer Science and Engineering (12,264 seats), Electronics and Communication (6,606 seats), Civil Engineering (6,414 seats), and Mechanical Engineering (6,405 seats) being the dominant branches. Emerging fields like Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber Security, and Robotics together account for several thousand seats, reflecting a clear shift towards technology-driven specialisations.
