  • The district of Malappuram has the highest total student enrolment by a significant margin, with 776,751 students, almost double the enrolment of the next highest district, Kozhikode (379,259). This suggests a substantially larger school-going population in Malappuram compared to other districts.

  • Across all districts and stages (L.P.S, U.P.S, H.S), the total enrolment of boys (1,853,948) is slightly higher than the total enrolment of girls (1,789,694). The overall difference is 64,254 students, indicating a minor gender imbalance favouring boys in total enrolment for 2024-25.

  • The stage with the highest total enrolment is the H.S (VIII-X) stage with 1,262,605 students, followed closely by the L.P.S (I-IV) stage with 1,250,184 students. The U.P.S (V-VII) stage has the lowest total enrolment at 1,130,853 students.

  • The district with the lowest overall enrolment is Pathanamthitta with only 79,190 students, which is less than 10% of the total enrolment of Malappuram, highlighting a vast disparity in the size of the student population among the districts.
