Districtwise details of new MSME units started in Kerala during 2023–24

Ernakulam district recorded the highest investment of ₹1013.77 crore, showing its strong industrial base and entrepreneurial activity.

Thiruvananthapuram had the highest number of MSME units (10,056), reflecting steady business growth in the capital district.

Malappuram generated the highest employment (23,529 jobs), highlighting the labour-intensive nature of its MSME sector.

Districts like Wayanad and Idukki had relatively fewer units, indicating scope for further industrial promotion in hilly regions.

Overall, Kerala established 1.03 lakh new MSME units in 2023–24, generating over 2.18 lakh employment opportunities across the state.
