
Between 2016-17 and 2023-24, animal disease outbreaks in Kerala were mostly controlled, with sporadic cases of Anthrax and Black Quarter. Hemorrhagic Septicemia showed moderate outbreaks, while Foot & Mouth Disease had sudden surges, peaking in 2021-22. Rinderpest was largely managed through vaccination, with 600 doses given in 2023-24, indicating ongoing preventive efforts.
