Targets and Achievements of Deposit Mobilisation Programme of Cooperatives in Kerala-2024


Between 2017-18 and 2023-24, Kerala’s cooperatives consistently exceeded deposit mobilisation targets until 2021-22, achieving 137–166% of targets, with the highest performance in 2021-22 (₹9,967 crore, 166%). However, in 2022-23 and 2023-24, achievements fell below targets, at 96% and 83% respectively, indicating a slowdown in deposit mobilisation. Overall, while the programme showed strong growth initially, recent years reflect challenges in sustaining the same momentum.
