Observations:

   • Grama Panchayats:
     • The highest number of HKS in Grama Panchayats is in Palakkad (2,615), followed by Thiruvananthapuram (2,547) and Kollam (2,434).
     • The lowest number of HKS in Grama Panchayats is in Wayanad (763) and Kasargod (1,315).
   • Municipalities:
     • Ernakulam has the most HKS functioning in Municipalities (604), followed by Malappuram (562) and Thrissur (449).
     • The fewest HKS are found in Municipalities in Idukki (129) and Wayanad (170).
2. Variation Between Grama Panchayats and Municipalities:
   • Districts like Palakkad, Thiruvananthapuram, and Kollam have a strong presence in Grama Panchayats but relatively fewer in Municipalities.
   • Ernakulam and Malappuram stand out with high numbers in both categories, especially in Municipalities.
3. Urban-Rural Balance:
   • Urban districts like Ernakulam and Thrissur have a higher proportion of HKS in Municipalities compared to rural districts like Wayanad and Idukki.
