District wise Employment in the Public sector in Kerala by branches (2023-24)


In 2023–24, Kerala’s public sector employed 5.58 lakh people, of which 35% were women. State Government jobs dominate (47%), followed by LSGIs (25%), Central Quasi (15%), State Quasi (13%), and Central Government (11%). Thiruvananthapuram has the highest employment (1.11 lakh) and Wayanad the lowest (14,394). Women’s share is highest in Kollam (52%) and Wayanad (47%), showing notable regional variation in gender participation.
