Worker Population Ratio (WPR)


Kerala’s Worker Population Ratio (WPR) has steadily increased from 2017-18 to 2023-24, with overall WPR rising from 46.8% to 56.5% for ages 15–59. Male WPR grew slightly from 73.4% to 76.1%, while female WPR showed a remarkable increase from 24% to 39.6%, narrowing the gender gap. Across all ages, WPR reached 42.1%, indicating improving employment and workforce participation in the state.
